First fully custom water cooled PC

When i had first started building computer at the age of 14 i wanted to build a fully water cooled PC but never had the budget for it. now i do :)

system spec:

  • CPU:        i7 950
  • GPU:       two radion 7970 Ghz edition
  • RAM:      6GB 1333Mhz
  • PSU:        1000w silverstone semi modular power supply
  • SSD:         256Gb corsair P256
  • M/B:         asus rmapage Gene II
  • HDD:       WD RED 4Tb

Water cooling gear:

280mm this rad at the top
280mm thick rad to the front
XSPC cpu block
XSPC GUP blocks
pump/res combo
compression fillings
blue tubes
blue coolant

Mods

To the mount pump and reservoir combo i had drilled a whole in the top of the bottom hard drive cage sacrificing one hard drive slot and the entire top cage it self

The GPU blocks did not sit correctly on the PCB because the voltage regulators were to tall so i milled out sections of the blocks to make them fit

when mounting the top radiator i had to put the fans outside the case because of motherboard clearance issues

custom holes had to be drilled at the front of the case to accommodate the front rad

cable management was a nightmare for me but i think i nailed it in the end. also since i had no room left on the main chamber i had used Velcro to ghetto mount bother the SSD's to the back of the case

overall i am really happy with the way this build turned out and my idle temps are about 30 degrees for the CPU and 40 degree for the GPU

total cost £700 for all the water colling parts to add to my existing PC

Built:  2013
